Learn about the Basset Hound
Low to the ground, high on charm
The Basset Hound was bred as a slow, low hunting dog that keeps its nose close to the ground and moves at a pace people on foot can keep up with. In our family tree, its ancestors include the Bloodhound and the Basset Artesien Normand. The breed is still with us, though today's Bassets have shorter legs and droopier skin than many of the old working ones. Tap a circle inside to keep digging.
