Learn about the Bloodhound

The nose that never forgets

The Bloodhound is the great tracking expert of the medieval hunting dogs, built to stay on a very old trail by smell rather than chase what it can see. In our family tree, its ancestors include the St Hubert Hound and older smell-hunting hounds. It has helped make many later hounds, terriers, setters and even retrievers.
