Learn about the Doberman Pinscher
Intelligent elegance on four legs
The Doberman was created in Germany in the late 1800s by a tax collector who wanted a dog to protect him. It mixes a Pinscher's sharpness with a guard dog's strength. In our family tree, its ancestors include the German Pinscher, Rottweiler-like butchers' dogs and old black-and-tan dogs. It is a working dog and a pet today. Tap a circle inside to keep digging.
