Learn about the Yorkshire Terrier
Seven pounds of pure determination
The Yorkshire Terrier began among the rat-catching dogs of northern mill towns, before being bred into the tiny, silky pet we know today. In our family tree, its ancestors include the Paisley Terrier, the Skye Terrier and old black-and-tan terriers. It later helped make the Norfolk, Norwich and Lucas Terriers.
